About

Royal Teague is an award-winning concert and media production composer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Royal writes music for various ensembles and solo performers for both stage and screen. He also records songs under his moniker, Ozetta, as well as with his band, Gloria’s Cousin.

His music thrives in simple arrangements often involving one or two ideas that develop and turn inside out across time tapping into complex emotions. Royal’s pieces confront the tangled nature of happiness and sadness, melancholy and frustration.

Music has always come very naturally to Royal, and his vast range of influences allows him to express his art in whatever styles he finds himself. His musical references include Samuel Barber, Igor Stravinsky, Ryuichi Sakamoto as well as every 20th and 21st century music scene from New York City to Los Angeles. He finds joy in keeping things fun and collaborative. Royal is the composer for Cantata (2023), a sci-fi strategy tactics game. Currently, he is working with GSU on a feature film entitled “Rejuvenation”.
